Project Manager /Owner’s Representative
Project Management firm is seeking an experienced project manager to manage and develop projects from inception to project close-out.
Job Description:
This position requires practical and intuitive knowledge of school, housing and commercial design and construction processes. The position requires the candidate to work and think independently, manage and oversee all design and construction activities through-out the development process. Must possess exemplary leadership skills, highly motivated and work with minimum supervision. Individual must review and comprehend complex construction drawings. Negotiate design, vendor, consultant and construction contracts. Manage and understand the permit process. Perform project budgeting. Perform contract administration, managing within a project team environment. The project manager's role is to represent the client throughout the project, and will require continuous interaction with client personnel, architects, engineers, contractors and material vendors.
Successful Candidate will possess the following:
An undergraduate degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
A minimum of 5 years working in the industry as an Architect, Engineer or Construction Manager
Possess strong quantitative, problem solving and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in creating development and/or construction schedules
Ability to create and maintain detailed spreadsheets
Working knowledge of the development process.
