Washington, DCJDC Enters Contract with Ideal Academy for Project Management of the Construction of New Charter School

Ideal Academy has contracted with JDC Construction to provide project management services for the renovation of an existing school to create a new charter school in Northeast Washington, DC.
During preconstruction, JDC will assist Ideal Academy in identifying the project team, preparing the schedule, coordinating design and construction meetings, reviewing construction documents, and managing all permit submissions. Once construction begins, JDC will monitor progress and quality, conduct weekly jobsite meetings, provide monthly reports to Ideal Academy, and review all requisitions and change orders.
After construction of the new school is complete, JDC will oversee close-out and punch lists, perform final cost accounting, and coordinate turnover to Ideal Academy. The project shall be designed and constructed in compliance with District code and school licensing requirements.
